The Cause of Human Conflict

The Cause of Human Conflict

A Declaration of World Peace

Two objects cannot occupy the same space, in the same way, at the same time. This fundamental principle underpins the nature of human conflict: it arises when individuals or groups forget that compromise exists within a space of possibilities that does not contradict the other’s value field. The resolution of conflict lies in negotiation and sacrifice—which is diplomacy at its core. Mankind often overlooks the potential for compromise within shared values, leading to conflict. Conflict exists not as insurmountable opposition but as a dynamic process with inherent pathways to resolution through diplomacy. Throughout history, rulers and regimes have exploited differences to maintain control. During the Rwandan Genocide, colonial powers exacerbated ethnic tensions, leading to catastrophic violence. Similarly, the Balkan Wars saw ethnic differences manipulated to incite conflict. These historical examples demonstrate how external forces, known as the Antagonists, exploit societal divisions for their gain. In contemporary times, media and political figures often polarize societies by exploiting cultural and ideological differences, diverting attention from our shared humanity and collective potential. The Antagonists benefit from these divisions, maintaining their power by perpetuating conflict. Conflict should not be viewed as an unsolvable clash but as a dynamic process containing its resolution through diplomacy. This truth holds because the medium in which conflict arises prevents contradictions; where conflict exists, there is also a path to resolution through negotiation and compromise. The idea that conflict signifies insurmountable opposition is a falsehood perpetuated by the Antagonists. Recognizing the artificial nature of many conflicts becomes essential. Let us strive for unity by embracing our differences as strengths. The Antagonists have sown discord; let us cultivate harmony. By fostering empathy and understanding, we can transform perceived conflicts into opportunities for growth and cooperation. Practical steps include promoting intercultural dialogues, community-building initiatives, and conflict resolution education. Actively seeking dialogue and collaboration allows us to build bridges across divides rather than walls. Investing in relationships and community creates a future of peace and prosperity. Thus, we must recognize and challenge the Antagonists who exploit our divisions. Let us pursue diplomacy, foster understanding, and build a world where conflict becomes a pathway to unity and progress. By investing in the true wealth of our shared humanity, we ensure a just and harmonious future for all.
